Your Impact
As a recognized Dams and Reservoir water management industry expert, you will play a critical leadership role in our Water Catchment Management team, helping to drive our extensive programme of high‑profile projects across multiple sectors. Our UK Centre of Excellence is part of a global team of 400 specialist reservoir engineers.
In this newly created role you will lead the development and delivery of Reservoir engineering solutions covering the full life cycle of dams, from feasibility through to detailed design, inspections, studies, reengineering and discontinuance.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership and governance on projects.
* Support staff at the project level to deliver high‑quality, technically robust dam engineering deliverables.
* Oversee and deliver technical reviews.
* Collaborate with the wider Jacobs business and clients on technical, legal and commercial matters associated with reservoirs.
* Develop and mentor colleagues, providing guidance to reservoir engineers progressing to the SE or ARPE panels.
* Provide subject‑matter expertise to sales and operational teams, supporting business development opportunities including bids.
Qualifications
* Appointed to the All Reservoirs Panel of Engineers, or eligible to apply for the panel.
* Experience inspecting embankment dams.
* Knowledge of embankment dam behaviour, monitoring and surveillance.
* Well‑established industry profile with links to industry and academia.
* Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
* Track record of fostering professional and personal development.
* Record of publications (journal articles, book chapters, conference papers).
