Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
* Carry out installations, upgrades, and repairs for PCs, laptops, printers, and network equipment
* Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi access points
* Work closely with the Service Desk to ensure quick and effective incident resolution
* Maintain accurate documentation of site visits and resolutions
* Assist with workshop‑based repairs and equipment preparation when needed
* Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures
Qualifications
* Previous experience in technical support or field engineering
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments
* Experience configuring and supporting network switches, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA) (Desirable)
* Experience with Fortigate Firewalls and Unifi Wireless (Desirable)
* Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) (Desirable)
* Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment (Desirable)
