What will this role achieve?
We are looking for a Machine Minder who will be responsible for reporting and resolving any issues related to the Wrapping Machine. Ensuring the quality checks are in line with SQSE procedures and that any quality issues are directly reported to the Team Manager.
Must have a can do attitude and committed to maintaining high standards in a dynamic team. Will move lines across the factory as and when required.
You will be required to stand in as a Feedend and Ovens Operative as and when required.
What will be your key deliverables?
You will need to work effectively with other team members in the department.
12. Carry out all pre-start checks.
13. Ensure the product meets the correct quality and specification.
14. Understand equipment and machinery setup requirements.
15. Complete changeovers according to procedure.
16. Follow rework procedures as required.
17. Track and maintain product consistency by adjusting machinery settings when needed.
18. Complete all documentation to the required standard.
19. Maintain factory standards safely at all times.
20. Complete shift handovers in line with area requirements and the agreed agenda.
21. Support the training and development of colleagues and new employees.
22. Ensure the team understands the daily task plan.
23. Communicate with the relevant person to resolve issues.
24. Work in a fast-paced, noisy, and warm environment.
25. Take part in discussions on process improvements, including DSOP.
26. Enter production data into Autostore at the end of the day.
27. Replace film rolls on the wrapping machine.
28. Adjust wrapper settings to maintain product quality and consistency.
29. Perform regular weight checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
Feedend and Ovens Operative Responsibilities.
30. Carry out all pre-start checks
31. Ensure biscuits are made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughout
32. Understand run in times to maximise changeovers
33. Ensure re-work procedure is followed
34. Ensure biscuits are to correct quality and specification, make adjusts to machinery settings and dough water/ice levels to maintain consistency
35. Responsibility for signing data sheets with correct data. Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard.
36. Always maintain everyday factory standards safely
37. Carry out metal detection checks as per procedure
38. Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda
39. Complete changeovers according to procedure.
40. Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required
41. Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance
42. Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues
43. Lead health and safety standards within the area to ensure all work safely.

Essential
44. Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices and safety at work procedures.
45. Must show good communication techniques as you will be required to complete hourly checks and production updates.
46. Can work well with others and be open to learning and change

Experience on a production line is desirable however all training will be required.
