We are seeking a dedicated and experienced childcare Manager to oversee Wrap Around Care services based in Drayton/Cosham, Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating after‑school activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Wrap Around Care team to deliver high‑quality childcare services in accordance with organisational policies and standards.
* Plan, organise, and oversee daily activities, ensuring they are fun, educational, and suitable for children of various ages.
* Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and conducting regular risk assessments.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community atmosphere.
* Coordinate with schools in Drayton and Cosham to ensure smooth transition of children between school and care settings.
* Manage administrative tasks including attendance records, activity planning, and communication with parents.
* Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans when necessary.
* Assist with organising special events or outings as part of the programme.
Qualifications
* Qualified in childcare, teaching or similar roles within a childcare setting.
* Fluency in English is mandatory.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with children, parents, colleagues, and external partners.
* A recognised childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare) is required and complemented by relevant experience.
