The Service Portfolio Director will play a pivotal role in the development of Services plans to support, enable and deliver the Softcat strategy. Softcat has built a services portfolio which helps enable our customers digital transformation, adopt new technology and provide the support and managed services which customers depend on as part of their operational delivery.
As Service Portfolio Director, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing leadership for the end-to-end service portfolio lifecycle, ensuring processes from research and design through to retirement are effective, controlled, and aligned to strategic priorities
* Challenging Service Development principles and processes to manage risk, maintain compliance and ensure efficient and timely release of new services
* Working with commercial finance and the sales team to develop services commercial models to ensure simple procurement, clear performance management and ongoing capacity / resource management.
* Being responsible for the delivery of Service Councils to drive collaboration and prioritisation across Tech Tower Service Portfolios
* Working across the business to ensure a consistent, simple articulation of the Services Portfolio
* Acting as a services evangelist for our customers in support of our Sales team
* Attending customer meetings to develop peer-to-peer relationships and articulate the breadth of Softcat Technical and Services capability
We'd love you to have
* Proven Track record of service development / portfolio management, digital and innovation leadership at a senior level, in a large and complex distributed business
* Fully commercial approach with first class engagement skills at stakeholder, exec, supplier levels and a technology innovation leader
* Experience from a previous senior role, with extensive people management across multiple sectors
* Strong leadership skills to support the continued development of the services teams
* Ability to conduct research and to analyse initiatives to improve customer experience
* Operate as an evangelist for Softcat to our customers and the technology industry
* Present at vendor and industry events as a representative for Softcat
