Job Description
You will be a hands-on field engineer responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive fault response, and small works installation across a portfolio of commercial clients in and around Bristol. Working across fire alarm and security systems.
Service & Maintenance
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable), intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
* Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, ensuring systems are returned to full working order with minimal disruption to the client
* Complete accurate service records and maintenance reports on a PDA or job management system
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant British Standards (BS 5839, BS EN 50131, BS 7671)
* Reactive Works
* Respond promptly to reactive call-outs within agreed SLA timescales
* Liaise professionally with clients on-site, providing clear communication around fault findings and remedial actions
* Escalate complex technical issues appropriately and follow through to resolution
Small Works & Installations
* Carry out small works installations including additions and alterations to existing fire and security systems
* Install new devices, panels, and ancillary equipment as required on minor projects
* Ensure all installations meet current standards and are handed over to the client with appropriate documentation
Compliance & Administration
* Maintain accurate site logs, risk assessments, and method statements
* Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company health & safety policies
* Raise quotes for additional works identified during site visits
* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required
Package
* £35,000 £45,000 salary depending on experience
