About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance you’ll be a critical part of our finance team, helping to drive Ryft’s financial strategy and operational performance. You’ll balance hands-on execution with big-picture thinking, supporting everything from monthly reporting and compliance to commercial decision-making and investor reporting.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Responsible for core accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, treasury, and month-end close.
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and rolling forecasts.
* Responsible for maintaining financial control ensuring monthly balance sheet & bank reconciliations have been completed.
* Develop and enhance scalable financial processes and internal controls across the business.
* Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital planning to ensure financial stability.
* Lead financial planning and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
* Own and submit quarterly VAT filings in line with HMRC deadlines.
* Build and maintain robust financial models to reflect business performance and support key decisions.
* Analyse financial data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities — and present clear, actionable insights.
* Monitor and forecast cash requirements to keep the business well-capitalised, optimising working capital where possible.
* Maintain strong financial governance and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and FCA requirements.
What we’re looking for
* You’re not just great with numbers – you communicate clearly, work well with others, and are open to giving and receiving feedback.
* Proficient on Excel, comfortable with modelling, getting into the numbers and creating meaningful analysis.
* Happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into all areas of finance.
* Technically strong with an analytical mindset
* Qualified ACCA / CIMA – QBE also considered with a strong background.
