Subject to formal establishment amendment, a vacancy will arise for a Chief Technician (TG1 – Air Tech (Any)) to serve as Chf Tech Typhoon Fleet Planner at RAF Lossiemouth on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 05 January 2026 (or later, subject to candidate status). Brief description of role: Responsibility for monitoring and coordinating activities for Station aircraft flying hours and aircraft fatigue index rates to minimise aircraft extension requests. Planning and coordination of on Station aircraft for input/output regarding external modification/ maintenance programmes. Allocation of Typhoon aircraft to the flying sqns in accordance with approved priorities whilst monitoring aircraft capability against Sqn requirement Maintaining a close liaison with the ITOC fleet planner to ensure that the Station fleet management is in line with HQ 1Gp requirements. Proactive liaison with all fleet planning agencies and Sqn SEngOs to achieve operational capabilities IAW the Force Commanders priorities. Provide input to the weekly Tactical Fleet Planning meetings, especially imminent aircraft deliveries and inter-Sqn movements.
