An exciting opportunty has arrisen to join Royal Mail as a Sector Account Manager. As a Sector Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing relationships with some of the UK’s largest Retail Letter posters. You’ll act as a strategic partner, driving commercial performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement aligned with Royal Mail Group’s goals.
About the role
You’ll:
* Develop strong relationships and a trusted reputation with senior decision-makers across several major UK sectors such as Financial Services, Publishing, Public Sector and BPO organisations.
* Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and contract performance.
* Lead structured reviews with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Manage complex issues and lead change campaigns.
* Mitigate competitor challenges and deploy tailored customer solutions.
* Support the rollout of new products, campaigns, and commercial initiatives.
* Collaborate with third-party partners to maximise opportunities.
* Coordinate customer interactions across Letters Specialists, Operations, Customer Experience, Pricing and other RMG business units.
About you
You’ll have:
* A proven track record of consistent delivery against targets.
* Strong forecasting, reporting, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics to drive performance improvement.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and negotiate at all levels.
* Influencing skills that allow you to engage and influence senior stakeholders in large organisations.
* A strategic approach to identifying, realising, and converting customer opportunities across a balanced portfolio.
* A commercially shrewd mindset with a challenger attitude focused on securing the best outcomes for RMG.
* Excellent written skills for creating compelling mail briefs, pitches, presentations, and business cases.
* A good understanding of Royal Mail’s Retail Letter product range, outbound and inbound, and an understanding of the UK postal market.
* Excellent written skills for creating compelling pitches, presentations, and business cases.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Strong presentation skills and experience in public speaking or webinars.
* Robust negotiation skills and a clear focus on revenue and profit generation.
* Good knowledge of Media and Mail supply chains.
