Are you committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children and young people? We are looking for a School Safeguarding Officer to join our team on a temporary basis in Milton Keynes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the designated safeguarding lead within the school.
* Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and ensure compliance with statutory guidance.
* Liaise with external agencies, parents, and staff to manage cases effectively.
* Maintain accurate safeguarding records and produce reports for senior leadership.
* Support staff with safeguarding training and awareness initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a safeguarding role within an educational setting.
2. Strong knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education and safeguarding legislation.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
