We are looking for a conscientious, hard working individual to work within our quality and safety team in maternity. The post holder should have strong IT skills and be able to use multiple systems. They should be motivated and able to work independently.
You must be available to work 3 days per week, one of which must be a Friday.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist and support the Quality Assurance Matron and wider team for national assessments including Care Quality Commission (CQC), Ockendon and NHSR; collating the relevant evidence and updating action plans.
2. To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of receiving and storing maternity records for audit and incident investigation purposes.
3. Checking and updating the local incident database of cases pending review.
4. Organise and distribute papers and invitations for panel review, incident review meetings and other key events e.g Clinical Governance and Safety Champions.
5. Create agendas and compile minutes for key minutes for key governance meetings.
6. Be responsible for the collation and organisation of evidence relating to incident investigations and action plan follow up.
7. Manage the diary of the Quality Assurance Matron.
8. To be responsible for the collation of the monthly data requests.
9. Assisting with the general day to day running of the service by checking the shared email account, answering telephone enquiries, photocopying, ordering stock and collecting notes.
10. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and show compassion to women in challenging situations.
