We are looking for an experienced qualified or part qualified Payroll accountant to join the finance team in this period of change. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business playing a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager to maintain accurate financial records, comply with reporting standards. This role requires attention to detail, analytical skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements. This role will require post holder to have strong working knowledge of payroll accounting. You’ll be responsible for: · Supporting the Finance Manager to manage the month-end Payroll accounting close processes for Mace. · Reviewing and reconciling payroll balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper documentation and support for all balances, highlighting as required areas of risks and opportunity. · Working closely with the Payroll team to ensure all information is obtained on a timely basis to help determine correct accounting treatment. · Assisting with internal and external audits to ensure compliance. · Driving process improvement initiatives to ensure best practice. · Preparation of other management information as required by the business. · Ad hoc tasks as required. You’ll need to have: · Profession accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA. · Intermediate excel user. · Experience preparing Balance sheet reconciliations. · Experience with project costing and posting internal recharges. · Good understanding of accounting principles. · Able to work using own initiative.
