Overview
Support Worker – Bradwell £13.39 ph. Typical shifts are nights Monday–Sunday, 21:30–07:30. We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker you’ll help people gain more independence in their daily lives, working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. Our supported living service in Bradwell is a welcoming and friendly environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be enhancing lives by teaching new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging community access, socialising and doing activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local venues, the next unwinding with them playing games or going to the cinema. This is an amazing role for someone looking to make a difference and help individuals grow in confidence and independence to meet their goals (e.g., preparing dinner, going on holiday).
Responsibilities
Support Workers will:
* Help people gain independence in daily living activities and skills
* Assist with personal care
* Encourage engagement with local community and social activities
* Facilitate meaningful activities and outings with individuals
* Support goal setting and progress toward personal outcomes
Qualificat ions / Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Resilient, flexible and composed in approach
* Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
* Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma
