We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director People & Culture to shape and embed our enterprise‑wide strategy to enable business growth as part of our People Strategy.
Role Overview
This role will work across our matrix structure to deliver across the employee life cycle – Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Organisational Design, and Organisational Effectiveness – collaborating across our Centres of Expertise (COE's). It will align these initiatives to a common culture and the expectation of inclusive behaviour, while supporting People & Culture Partners as the face of this to their functions.
You will be part of a team dedicated to alignment and the enablement of our inclusive culture and its connection to our mission.
This role will report to the People & Culture Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Shape and embed our enterprise‑wide People Strategy to enable business growth.
* Deliver across the full employee life cycle, working with talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development, employee relations, total rewards, organisational design, and organisational effectiveness.
* Collaborate across our matrixed structure and COEs to ensure alignment and effective execution.
* Support People & Culture Partners in representing the strategy within their functions.
* Advocate and embed inclusion and our cultural expectations across the organisation.
* Lead and influence senior leaders, challenging the status quo when necessary.
* Use data and analysis to inform key decision‑making and influence business strategy.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong business acumen for understanding business priorities, opportunities, and challenges, and external influencing factors.
* Ability to understand and analyse data to influence key decision making.
* Experience evolving a talent strategy, through diagnostic thinking, needs analyses, and data analysis, managing expectations, building collaborative relationships, and challenging constructively with a point of view.
* Experience building talent strategies, including high potential identification and acceleration, assessment, succession planning, career development planning, and talent movement.
* Change management skills to help the business plan and lead change effectively by using consulting skills and providing relevant change frameworks and tools.
* Strong project management skills to ensure completion and implementation of projects or programmes on time and within budget.
* Strong coaching and influencing skills.
* Ability to recognise where senior leaders need to be challenged and be comfortable challenging the status quo, ingrained cultures and behaviours.
* Ability to problem‑solve effectively, using data and other means to present business cases to a broad client group.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment legislation, particularly around TUPE regulations.
* Comfortable working in a matrix environment.
