Quantity Surveyor : Construction (Fit:Out and Refurbishment)
Location: Cheshire
Starting Salary: A GBP 60,000
We are currently working with a well:established main contractor specialising in commercial fit:out and refurbishment, who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in the North West.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven QS with at least 4 years experience to join a reputable business delivering high:quality projects across the commercial, education, and public sectors.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre:construction through to final account. Working closely with project and site teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing project costs from inception to completion
* Preparing and managing CVRs, valuations, and final accounts
* Procurement and management of subcontractors
* Contract administration (JCT focus)
* Managing variations, claims, and cost reporting
* Supporting project teams to ensure commercial success
Requirements
* Minimum 4 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Experience within fit:out, refurbishment, or construction projects
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
