Overview
Care and Support - Darcy House Care Home. Contract: Full Time and Part Time. Salary: £12.21 Per Hour. Shift Type: Days & Nights Available. Contracted hours: 12 to 48. Our brand-new, luxury care home is located in the town of Matlock in Derbyshire. We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative & Nursing care for 78 residents. As a Care Assistant, you’ll help us achieve an excellent standard of care for our residents and be an integral part of the care team to promote the values and ethos of our home.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily routines, help them stay active, and promote independence.
* Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan with hands-on care and attention to individual needs.
* Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Uphold dignity and respect for every resident in all interactions.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff to create a warm, welcoming environment.
* Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces; respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Provide nutritional support and assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking.
* Contribute to a positive, joyful environment for residents.

About You
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
