Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum + Excellent benefits

Are you passionate about sustainability and delivering high-quality public services? We're looking for a Waste Management Officer to help shape the future of our local authority client's waste services for over 45,000 households.
They are preparing to launch a new waste collection contract and implement nationally required service enhancements, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal moment.
What You'll Be Doing
Monitor and report on the performance of waste services, ensuring high standards are met.
Collaborate with contracted service providers to deliver efficient and effective waste management.
Lead customer engagement and communication activities to promote our services.
Support residents with enquiries and help improve their experience with our waste services. Who We're Looking For
Must have relevant experience in either a local authority (public sector) or the commercial waste industry (private sector), specifically in delivering or managing waste and recycling services
Experience in delivering education and engagement campaigns that drive positive change.
A collaborative mindset for working with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong data management and analysis skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Evidence of continuing professional development in waste management.
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Willingness to work hybrid and flexibly in line with business needs.
