Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our expanding construction biased business, where you can help support our Health and Safety initiatives as a SHEQ manager.
Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.
As a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) manager, you will be responsible for devising practices within our workplace to ensure health & safety and environmental best practice on-site to ensure that works are undertaken safely. You will also carry out quality control inspections to ensure high standards are kept.
This is very much a "hands-on" Health and Safety role, where experience of the construction industry will be key in allowing you to directly impact how safely and sustainably we operate - this is a diverse and rewarding opportunity for a Health and Safety professional who thrives in the built environment and wants to drive initiatives from the front line.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Champion health and safety across the company, working with the teams to ensure everyone puts safety first.
* To manage sites on all relevant aspects of SHEQ, with an emphasis on maintaining safe methods of working and systems to reduce risk.
* Support the site management teams to ensure that all site documentation is kept up to date and report any issues.
* Lead and support managers with external audits to ensure compliance to all appropriate standards.
* Providing support on systems, Including HandsHQ, MyCompliance, IMS, Sharepoint, Peoplesafe, and provide General SHEQ related Training
* NEBOSH Certification or equivalent H&S Qualification
* A full UK driving licence – essential for the job as the role will involve travel between sites with access to a personal vehicle.
* Previous experience in health and safety, site inspections and reporting incidents.
