Field based - Midlands and mid-Wales
As our new Automotive Field Engineer, you will assist the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) UK in achieving enhanced Dealer Technical Support, maximising Customer Satisfaction, Loyalty and Lifetime Value for present and potential Ford Customers.
The Automotive Field Engineer will provide technical information and recommendations for Customer vehicles through visits to the Dealership network with a view to improving fix-it-right first-time rates.
The Automotive Field Engineer will:
conduct field visits, including overnight stays as necessary
record data as required as a Field Engineer Report into a dedicated software package
liaise with FCSD on vehicle case histories/trends and analysis
work on other assignments (responsibility for Dealer technical surveys, analysis, investigation etc.)
write and circulate data to Helpline Engineers / Field Engineers / Project Management / Customer / Customer Dealer staff when necessary
liaise with Dealership personnel at all levels
complete and provide information for MSXI documentation as necessary
Qualifications have a dealer workshop background at a senior level (ideally Master Technician)
have demonstrable automotive experience.
have Customer facing experience (advantageous)
have a good understanding of Dealership operations.
have the ability to investigate, report on and diagnose complex vehicle systems, either hands on or remotely
hold a recognised High Voltage qualification.
Due to the location of this role, candidates that reside in the Midlands area would be suitable .
The ideal candidate must be willing to travel across the Midlands to include Birmingham, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, Buckinghamshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Bedfordshire, Dyfed and Powys mid-Wales with occasional overnight stays.
