In this generalist role you will provide coaching, consultation, and expertise on a full range of people services including staffing, talent management, engagement, employee relations, learning & development, and performance management to attract, engage and retain employees and support the business as we grow.</p><ul><li>Strategic Alignment
<ul><li>Partner with the Operations Directors and Regional Directors to develop and implement people plans that support business objectives.</li><li>Influence and support organisational change initiatives.</li></ul></li><li>Employee Relations
<ul><li>Provide guidance on high level, complex ER issues including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.</li><li>Ensure fair and consistent application of people policies, ensuring the employment legislation and compliance is adhered to at all times.</li><li>Be the point of contact for any ACAS or tribunal, escalating to the Director of People at all times.</li><li>Complex and partner on any complex TUPE in and out.</li><li>Support the Operations Directors with any local Trade Union relations.</li><li>Redundancies and restructures.</li></ul></li><li>Talent Management
<ul><li>Proactively ensuring there is workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development in place that is reviewed regularly.</li><li>Collaborate with L&D to identify learning and development needs.</li><li>Apprenticeships – support and nurture any degree apprentices, ensuring you “check in” with them and they are on the correct path for their apprenticeship.</li></ul></li><li>Performance & Engagement
<ul><li>Positively drive a performance management culture, supporting the Operations Directors with any processes, including delivering feedback.</li><li>Ensure that there is agreed local action plans in place that support the annual employee engagement process and to increase retention.</li></ul></li><li>Data & Reporting
<ul><li>Analyse monthly people metrics to identify trends and recommend interventions.</li><li>Prepare reports for the Operations Directors and Director of People on a monthly basis.</li></ul></li><li>Compliance
<ul><li>Ensure people practices comply with employment law and internal policies.</li><li>Support audits and risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Workforce planning – Quinex, Plan Day, Dayforce (if required).</li><li>Zero Hours, Student Visas, People Audits within region / patch.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Solid generalist HR experience, partnering with the Business at all levels.</li><li>In depth knowledge and understanding of HR policy, process, and employment legislation.</li><li>Ability to think creatively and work autonomously using your own initiative.</li><li>Great influencing skills, and being credible to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.</li><li>Commercially focused thinker at an operational and strategic level.</li><li>Demonstrable experience of delivering people related change initiatives.</li><li>Good knowledge and experience of using HR systems.</li><li>Analytical mindset with experience using people data to make informed decisions.</li><li>Experience with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to L&D, employee relations and ED&I.</li><li>CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards).</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunity Statement</h3><p>We are proud to be an inclusive employer and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
