A highly respected, private equity-backed professional services organisation with a turnover of approximately £50 million is seeking to appoint an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function through a period of strategic transition, culminating in a planned exit.
This is a critical appointment, offering the opportunity to work closely with the CEO, Board, and private equity investors to deliver a successful transaction. The ideal candidate will bring deep financial and strategic expertise, along with a demonstrable track record of exit readiness and delivery within a private equity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic financial leadership throughout the exit process, including due diligence support, financial modelling, and investor communications.
* Oversee the preparation of all financial materials required for the exit, including the data room and management presentations.
* Ensure the finance function operates with rigour and integrity, delivering timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
Candidate Profile:
* ACA qualified (or equivalent), with a strong technical foundation and commercial acumen.
* Prior experience as CFO within a private equity-backed business is essential.
* Proven track record of successfully leading and executing a PE exit transaction.
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a hands-on approach where required.
