Essential Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Minimum of 6 months experience post successful passing of Critical Care Course
2. Achieved grade (60 credits ) / 6 months experience post course
3. Supervision and assessment experience
4. Evidence of continual professional development
5. Basic Life support compliance
Desirable criteria
6. Should be working towards a degree if not achieved on qualifying
7. Valid ILS Certificate
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
8. Significant experience at Band 5 in Critical Care
9. Up to date knowledge of Critical Care Practice
10. Experienced in utilising and promoting sound clinical practice
11. Understanding needs of learners in ICU/HDU
Desirable criteria
12. Previous ward management experience
