Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Remote (UK only) + approx. 1 day/month in London
Contract: 12 months
Rate: £250-350 (Outside IR35)

We’re looking for an experienced payroll professional to support a major HR & Payroll transformation programme for a highly respected consultancy known for delivering large scale change across complex organisations. As they transition from Zellis to Dayforce, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining UK BAU payroll and overseeing governance across several outsourced global regions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast paced environments, is confident operating independently, and brings strong technical, compliance, and stakeholder management capability. If you’ve worked on sizeable payroll operations or supported organisations through systems change.
Key Experience Needed
* Strong background managing large scale UK payroll operations (approx. 2,000–5,000 employees).
* Experience overseeing outsourced global payrolls across multiple regions.
* Solid understanding of payroll controls, compliance, and SOX frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end to end UK BAU payroll, ensuring stability, accuracy, and timely delivery during the transformation.
* Oversee global payroll governance across several outsourced locations, reviewing inputs/outputs and ensuring control standards are met.
* Uphold compliance and SOX requirements across UK and US payroll operations, maintaining strong documentation and oversight.
