Role
Project Manager – major utilities infrastructure project based in Brighton with hybrid work-from-home arrangement. You will lead a nationally significant infrastructure programme in the water sector, working on a £1bn+ project with cutting-edge technologies and innovative funding models (including PPP/PFI). You will support major infrastructure programmes including the Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) initiative and the Development Consent Order (DCO) workstream to enable the delivery of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
Responsibilities
 * Lead the delivery of your workstream package through planning, risk management, and governance.
 * Support the development of commercial models and procurement strategy (including £1bn+ tender design).
 * Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, procurement and legal.
 * Manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams, suppliers, regulators and other industry bodies.
 * Ensure the delivery of high-quality project information, performance reporting and financial forecasting.
Location
Based out of Brighton Tuesday to Thursday.
Requirements / Qualifications
 * Accomplished major projects manager, £30M+ experience, with a healthy mix of the following:
 * Strong project management experience, ideally in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
 * Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple workstreams and shifting priorities with confidence.
 * Experience in regulated settings or large, multi-stakeholder organisations; commercial awareness and understanding of third-party finance models such as PFI or PPP (desirable but not essential).
 * Understanding of engineering contracts; strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.
 * Proactive, organised, able to manage ambiguity, and able to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
 * Experience using Primavera P6 planning tools is an advantage.
 * Training to attain AMP and/or P6 qualifications may be provided by the employer.
Benefits / Remuneration
Salary: £60K-£70K + package. Comprehensive benefits, excellent pension, plus bonus.
