Connect it is a growing multi-utility company, and to support our success, we are expanding our Transport and Support Services Team by recruiting a Fleet and Assets Coordinator.
This role will support the ongoing compliance of our vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment, ensuring efficient operation of our field-based workforce. Responsibilities include procurement advisement, calibration, and stock management of company assets.
The position is based in our office and warehouse complex in Hedge End, Southampton.
Key Skills
* Adopt a zero-compromise approach to Health & Safety, aligned with legislation and company policy.
* Monitor and manage timely inspection, calibration, and testing of assets according to statutory requirements and company policy.
* Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding upcoming asset inspections and bookings.
* Track equipment progress with suppliers to ensure efficient calibration and return.
* Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment in company databases.
* Keep an up-to-date inventory of stock.
* Develop efficient processes and procedures within your area.
* Prepare tooling kits for new vehicles and manage stock returns from leavers.
* Stay updated with technological advances in vehicle and plant assets through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
* Enthusiastic with a proactive approach to work.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Flexible attitude and attention to detail.
* PAT/LOLER testing experience is preferred.
Additional Information
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
* Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week plus a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
