About this Apprenticeship opportunity

Amentum is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Cumbria team as a Control, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) Design Level 3 Apprentice. Based in our Westlakes office (Pillar House), this apprenticeship is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in engineering design who are looking to develop a career within a technical, safety‑critical, and highly regulated environment.

As a CE&I Design Apprentice, you will support the engineering design of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems used in complex industrial facilities. Alongside your workplace training, you will complete a Level 3 CE&I Design apprenticeship qualification, combining structured academic learning with practical application. You will develop core engineering knowledge, design skills, and an understanding of industry standards, while building the professional behaviours expected of an engineer.

This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a future career in CE&I design engineering, offering progression opportunities within Amentum for those who demonstrate commitment, curiosity, and a passion for engineering excellence.
