Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school community in Hampton, London. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning and reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and activities tailored to SEND students
* Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and independence
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other stakeholders
* Support students with personal care needs, mobility, and safe access to the school environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Engage in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
* Experience working with children with SEND (desirable)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
