Vision for Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring, and adaptable Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of SEN schools in Cwmbran and the surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work within specialist educational settings supporting pupils to engage in learning, build confidence, and achieve personal and academic milestones within a supportive and inclusive environment.

The Role
You may support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:
13. MLD – Moderate Learning Difficulties
14. SLD – Severe Learning Difficulties
15. ASC – Autism Spectrum Condition
16. EBD – Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
17. Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
18. Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
19. Adapt learning resources to meet individual pupil needs
20. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
21. Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
22. Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff within specialist classrooms
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for candidates who are:
23. Passionate about supporting children and young people
24. Patient, adaptable, and positive in their approach
25. Confident managing behaviour in a calm and professional manner
26. Strong communicators with excellent relationship-building skills
27. Experienced in education, care, youth work, or support-based roles
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 are desirable but not essential.
