Responsibilities
- Set up and operate plasma and laser cutting machine to cut steel to the required specification.
- Monitoring cutting programs, checking parts with respective drawings and amending working parameters when necessary.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Meeting set targets whilst working on the production line.
- Adhering to strict quality targets.
- Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
- To complete daily safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment is in good working order.
- To maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should be hard working, a good team player with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail. You should be willing to develop your skills on an ongoing basis in line with the growing business. We also require the flexibility to work overtime when required. Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous; on site training will be provided.
