About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new therapeutic childrens residential home in Greater Manchester. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to build a high-quality, trauma-informed service from the ground up.
As part of our commitment to holistic care, the home features access to a dedicated Music Therapist, providing creative therapeutic support for emotional development.
The service also has close links with an educational setting that shares our values. We believe in celebrating individuality and unlocking each young person's potential. Our personalised approach to education empowers students to excel in their own unique way, creating a vibrant learning environment that sparks creativity, confidence, and passion.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a deep understanding of therapeutic care, and a proven ability to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the setup, registration, and daily operations of the home
* Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
* Inspire and manage a team of dedicated care professionals
* Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
* Act as the Responsible Individual in line with Ofsted expectations
* Drive continuous improvement and achieve positive inspection outcomes
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* At least 2 years' experience in a senior role within childrens residential care
* A strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches
* Proven leadership and staff development skills
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and regulatory standards
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Commitment to helping young people thrive and reach their potential
