We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence.
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure that our records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
* Travel as required as part of the dispersed Reservoir Regulation team across the country.
Team and status
We are part of the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team comprises 25+ members, dispersed nationally. Some travel and overnight stays will be required.

Additional information
This role is part-time (22.2 hours per week) and can be based at any Environment Agency office. We welcome flexible working patterns, including job share. Some travel and overnight stays may be required. An incident response role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and an active way to support communities and prevent environmental harm. This post includes training and incident response duties as needed.
