We are looking for an organised and motivated Economy and Policy Officer to join us at a key time of change.
You will support high profile work which drives economic activity, shapes corporate policy and delivers clear, accessible communications to residents, businesses and partners.
About the role
In this role you will support work across economy, policy and communications, managing key tasks with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
You will help deliver business focused events, coordinating logistics, preparing event materials, while maintaining accurate business engagement data and monitoring relevant website and intranet content.
You will support policy and performance activity, including complaints administration, key performance indicator tracking and maintaining clear project documentation, as well as action trackers, risk registers and other governance tools.
Working collaboratively, you will help with general enquiries to the team, manage competing priorities effectively and contribute positively to a busy programme of work.
Who we are looking for
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
* Experience supporting administrative communications or coordination work.
* Confidence working with data, digital systems and written content.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, while knowing when to seek advice and guidance.
* Attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information.
* A positive and flexible approach to teamwork.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
* An understanding of equality, data protection and accessible communication.
