Head of Talent Management & Capability Location | Midlands | Hybrid Working Salary: £70-90,000 great benefits career opportunities Were hiring for impact. This is a senior leadership roleoperating at the intersection of strategy, performance, and cultural growth. It requires resilience, pace, and a mindset wired for delivery. Youll be the architect of a future-fit organisationleading the strategy behind how talent is discovered, developed, and embedded into the leadership fabric of the business. This role is for someone who: Leads with clarity and conviction, even in complexity Thrives on creating momentum, not just managing process Owns results, not just plans Champions inclusion, ambition, and excellence across the organisation Key Impact Areas: Shaping Future-Ready Talent Define how talent is identified in the organisation, and advances exceptional talent across all levels, ensuring depth and agility where it matters most Defining What Talent Means Creating clarity for the organisation on the definition of talent and shaping the succession plan Accelerating Leadership Growth Create high-impact, future-focused development pathways that unlock leadership potential and shift the dial on capability Leadership Development Creating exceptional talent development initiatives for leadership both for teams and individuals Coaching and Mentors responsible for creating measurable coaching and mentor schemes in the organisation Building Organisational Resilience Establish proactive approaches to succession and continuity that secure business-critical roles and future-proof leadership capacity Translating Strategy into Workforce Action Align people plans with commercial ambitions, turning long-term strategy into an executable, talent-driven roadmap Redefining Performance Drive a culture where accountability and ambition meetshaping how performance is framed, measured, and realised across the business Fuelling Connection and Commitment Lead on shaping a workplace culture where people thrive, contribute meaningfully, and choose to stay Championing Inclusive Leadership Make equity and representation a core part of the leadership DNAnot just a principle, but a practice What Youll Bring: Degree educated alongside L7 / Masters in an HR subject Coaching qualifications Impressive career trajectory in senior-level roles across Talent management, succession strategies, OD, or broader People transformation - ideally within complex, evolving, or multi-site environments A demonstrable track record of leading large-scale, end-to-end talent and capability initiatives with measurable outcomes Strong organisational savvy - you know how to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and make things happen without formal authority Commercial sharpness - you think beyond HR; you understand how to connect people strategy with business performance, productivity, and growth High personal accountability - you take ownership, move at pace, and drive momentum without waiting for permission A data-driven mindset - you use insight and evidence to influence, prioritise and shape strategy Executive presence and gravitas - you know how to engage, influence and challenge senior leaders with confidence and credibility Outstanding communication skills - clear, concise, and compelling, whether facilitating in a room, writing strategy, or coaching one-on-one A resilient and growth-oriented mindset - able to lead through ambiguity, manage complexity and adapt quickly to change A passion for building inclusive cultures - you know that diverse perspectives are not a nice-to-have, but a leadership imperative Strong coaching instincts - you elevate others, build trust quickly, and know how to unlock performance across teams and individuals The ability to scale your thinking - you can zoom out to see the enterprise picture, then dive deep to ensure delivery and detail are executed brilliantly A genuine desire to make a legacy-level impact - youre not here to maintain, youre here to elevate This is a career-defining opportunity.
