About the role
The Vertical Lift Supplier Management and Procurement team has an exciting position for Procurement Agent (Buyer) within our Aircraft support team. This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with a minimum of 3 days in office. Locations preferred: Gosport, Bristol, Other: Yeovil.
Position Responsibilities
* Negotiating contracts for products, services and technologies.
* Engaging stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies, including negotiating pricing and contract terms and conditions.
* Preparing and executing negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements; optimizing execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
* Managing supplier/subcontractor performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance.
* Mitigating risks and issues; initiating supplier improvement activities and providing results for integration into contracting strategies.
* Performing continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
* Preparing and executing proprietary information agreements.
* Supporting sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
* Communicating performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
* Tooling and Ground Support Equipment procurement experience (nice to have).

* 2-4 years of relevant experience.

* BPSS required.
* Preferred Qualifications:
