An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dynamic business in the Sunderland area. The role is crucial for the ongoing success of the company; with the working hours offering an excellent work/life balance. They collaborate with many major manufacturers designing, developing and manufacturing essential parts on behalf of their clients. They have recently moved into a state of the art building, with excellent onsite facilities and transport connections.
THE ROLE
13. You will be responsible for sustaining equipment efficiency and supporting process and equipment improvements in line with local and group standards
14. You will be responsible for the industrialisation of new processes and developing improvement activities in accordance with business needs
15. You will measure the performance of processes to identify opportunities for improvement
16. You will measure and look to improve work centre cycle time and capacity calculation
17. Look over machine parameter control
18. Collaborating with Project teams and stakeholders on the introduction of new processes
19. Collaborate with others in development of workflow to best effect
20. Collaborating to plan & coordinate equipment moves or new installation on site
21. Collaborating to support industrialisation of tools and equipment
22. Collaborating to support development of SOP for new processes
23. You will monitor SPM Adherence, RO Monitoring and update
24. You will be responsible for the development of improvement plans
25. You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements
26. You will apply practical problem-solving techniques
27. You will be involved with the management of improvement teams
28. Supporting the process change process
29. Supporting the design change process
30. Supporting and development of QMS control measures and adherence.
31. Providing advice and guidance on Routing set up, TA/TP improvement actions, Process and equipment documentation, Document control and adherence and CAPEX
32. Management of process master data
33. Management of FMEA for all products
THE PERSON
34. You will have a Level 3 qualification in engineering discipline, or equivalent time spent in similar role within automotive or manufacturing industry
35. You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of process engineering
36. You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of project management
37. You will be an effective communicator across all levels of the business
38. You can manage resources effectively – i.e. in-direct resource, time management
39. You will have an analytical and/or methodical approach to delivering workload
40. You can demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities
41. You have a professional approach for line and project management interactions
42. You are approachable by all levels of the business
43. You have a structured and standardized approach to workload and project management
