Job Title: Electrical Certification Specialist
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 37hrs p/w
Location: UK Remote Based (With occasional travel)
About the role
BSI has a great opportunity for an Electrical Certification Specialist to join our Electrical Certification Team, where you will be responsible for managing our IECEE CB certification schemes.
Reporting to the Certification Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role by working closely with our testing team and clients, managing a portfolio of IECEE CB Schemes, delivering high-quality product evaluations, achieving client satisfaction, and meeting commercial targets.
Responsibilities:
* Process certification applications timely and effectively.
* Review technical reports and make certification recommendations.
* Deliver projects and maintain accurate project plans for financial and revenue forecasting.
* Represent BSI with external bodies as needed.
* Update and ensure relevance of certification schemes based on new or amended standards/directives.
* Collaborate with Sales, clients, and test laboratories to assess enquiries and develop certification programs.
* Maintain excellent relationships with current and potential clients, possibly acting as account manager for key clients.
* Travel globally as required for audits and business development.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of International, European, or British Standards and procedures.
* Electrical safety knowledge.
* Understanding of Test & Certification requirements (e.g., 17025 & 17065).
* Qualification in a STEM subject or relevant experience.
* Experience with IECEE CB Schemes for electrical and electronic products is a major advantage.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to diverse audiences.
* Customer-focused and solution-oriented.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Familiarity with office IT systems.
