Join Our Team as a Core Subject SEN/SEND Tutor!

Exciting opportunities are available now in Kent, and we’re on the lookout for passionate educators to make a real difference!

At Targeted Provision, we are dedicated to transforming the educational landscape for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND). Our mission is to support those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

We’re searching for enthusiastic SEN/SEND tutors who are eager to engage with and uplift vulnerable learners. If you have a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact, we want to hear from you!

As part of our team, you will be supported by a network of SEN/SEND Support Specialists, ensuring that you have the resources and guidance needed to succeed in every placement.

Your Role as a SEN/SEND Tutor:

* Provide engaging tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other educational needs.
* Support students referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journeys.
* Deliver flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.


Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and execute tailored sessions that meet the unique needs of each student.
* Create engaging and holistic learning experiences that foster educational and social-emotional growth.
* Document lesson reports and provide constructive feedback on student progress.


Requirements to Join Our Team:

* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS).
* A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
* Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost).
* Two professional references.
* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments.

Note: It is essential to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people while adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.


Employment Status:

* This role involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term assignments as they arise.
* You will work under a contract for service and be paid via PAYE.
* No guaranteed work hours or expense coverage.
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us.
* This is not a self-employed tutoring position.
