Teaching Assistant - Special School in Kettering (Must Drive) Monarch Education is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a wonderful Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Kettering. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional and complex needs. Due to the school's location and travel requirements, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support pupils with complex learning needs, communication difficulties, and SEMH. Assist with 1:1 and small-group learning. Help pupils regulate emotions, develop independence, and build confidence. Prepare classroom resources and support the class teacher. Use therapeutic, trauma-informed, and positive behaviour strategies. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists. IDEAL CANDIDATE Experience in SEN, SEMH, support work, care, or youth work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Passion for supporting children in a special school setting. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (ESSENTIAL).
