With a strong focus on sustainability, the business helps customers reduce waste, improve safety and operate more efficiently through repair, sharpening and restoration solutions that extend the life of valuable kitchen tools and equipment.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK. The role will focus on developing opportunities within the corporate catering and hospitality sector through the contract catering channel. With existing national agreements already in place, you'll inherit warm entry points into major accounts while also identifying and winning new business opportunities.
The business is recognised for its sustainability-led approach and works with some of the UK's best-known hospitality operators, helping them improve operational efficiency, reduce waste and extend the lifespan of professional kitchen equipment.
This role is ideal for a relationship-led salesperson who enjoys account mapping, stakeholder engagement and building long-term commercial partnerships.
1. Develop and grow opportunities within existing national agreements
2. Map target accounts and identify key decision-makers across multiple sites
3. Generate new business opportunities within corporate hospitality and catering groups
4. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
5. Build relationships with senior stakeholders including Procurement, Ops, H&S, ESG and Executive Head Chefs
6. Deliver a consultative and strategic sales approach focused on long-term value
7. Travel to customer sites when required
What you'll bring:
8. Minimum 2 years' B2B sales experience
9. Proven experience managing the full sales cycle
10. Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
11. Strategic and analytical mindset
12. Comfortable engaging senior decision-makers
13. Self-motivated with the ability to manage and grow a defined market segment
14. Must be willing and able to travel to the Orpington office 3 days per week
Experience selling into hospitality, foodservice, contract catering or facilities-related sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
