Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Rotherham area as they loom to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of specific parts of the monthly management accounts (including central cost centres & involvement with a business unit) in accordance with established procedures. To be completed within agreed reporting timescales
2. Preparation of other elements of the monthly accounts (including group reporting) in accordance with established procedures and timescales
3. Assistance with external audit process including provision of required information
4. Provide accounting support for preparation of capex proposals for allocated business units, ensuring that the financial justification has been prepared on an appropriate basis and can be substantiated.
5. Review of the overall capex proposal ensuring consistency, accuracy and clarity to the professional standards required
6. Involvement in the preparation of annual budgets and interim reforecasts in March, June, and September
7. Assistance with management accountant team duties
Person Specification:
8. Wants to work for a manufacturing company and wants the challenges this gives deadlines
9. Experience working in an accounts department
10. Experience posting journals & reconciling accounts
11. AAT or equivalent level qualifications
