About the role Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will work in a team supporting the efficient handling and management of steel materials. Responsibilities include: load / unload delivery vehicles safely using appropriate equipment, ensuring you are authorised and trained to operate preparing loads for galvanising, receiving returned items and preparing them for final dispatch checking bundles prior to despatch using check / control sheets inspect galvanised material for quality, carry out minor remedial work where required, and report any significant concerns complete all relevant paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring traceability and quality standards are maintained maintain a clean, tidy and hazard-free work area carry out manual tasks safely and within physical and technical capabilities We will provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to succeed while working in a safe, rewarding environment. About you: As well as being organised and motivated, we would like someone who: has working knowledge on yard process, tools and equipment has great attention to detail and accuracy has energy, enthusiasm, positive and a can-do attitude has the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines preferably has structural steelwork experience has a proactive approach to health, safety, environment and quality We are ideally looking for candidates who are flexible and able to adapt to occasional transitions between day and night shifts, based on business requirements.
