Job Role: Supervisor Location: Areas 6 & 8 (East) Duration: 4–6 Months (Temporary) Rate: £275–£325 per day Role Overview: We are recruiting an experienced Supervisor to support ongoing highways and infrastructure works across Areas 6 & 8. This is a temporary 4–6 month contract with a reputable national contractor known for delivering major civils and highways projects to a high standard. The role requires an organised, safety‑driven supervisor who can manage daily site operations, support engineering teams, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. You will also act as a professional point of contact for road users, residents, and stakeholders when required, demonstrating excellent communication and empathy. Key Responsibilities: • Manage day‑to‑day operations across established sites • Oversee and review site Health & Safety documentation • Identify engineering discrepancies and escalate where required • Support planning and coordination of works to meet programme deadlines • Carry out method statements, risk assessments, and ensure compliance • Manage site administration and maintain accurate documentation • Monitor budgetary objectives and site performance • Report regularly to senior management on progress and issues • Organise labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors • Ensure all plant and machinery are compliant and suitable • Provide leadership, support, and coaching to site teams • Take responsibility for the performance of operatives and foremen • Train and oversee new starters • Ensure only trained personnel carry out assigned works • Assist with closing out Health & Safety files • Engage with road users, residents, and customers in a professional, polite, and empathetic manner Skills & Experience Required: • SSSTS or SMSTS – essential • NRSWA – preferred • Competent using MS Project • Strong understanding of contract documentation • Demonstrable leadership in Health & Safety • Ability to work independently with a professional attitude • Strong organisational and time‑management skills • Good appreciation of engineering principles • Understanding of current Health & Safety legislation • Full clean driving licence Pay & Contract Details: • £275–£325 per day (depending on experience) • 4–6 month contract • Opportunity to work with a respected national contractor • Exposure to major civils and highways projects Why Apply: • Work with a reputable contractor delivering high‑profile infrastructure projects • Opportunity to demonstrate leadership within a strong highways team • A well‑structured environment with clear responsibilities and support • Develop experience across major works in Areas 6 & 8
