As part of a small team, the Health, Safety and Fire Manager is responsible for the efficient operation, planning and development of the Fire Safety Services and supporting the Health and Safety Team across the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH). The role ensures these functions are carried out to nationally agreed and recognised standards for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate, plan and develop fire safety services across all LNWH premises, with the base split between Northwick Park & St Marks Hospital and Ealing Hospital, and travel across all Trust premises.
* Support health and safety services across the Trust, ensuring compliance with national standards.
* Provide expert advice on fire and health safety matters, reporting to the Associate Director of Estates & Facilities (Compliance, Fire and Health and Safety).
* Develop and maintain policies, procedures and training programmes related to fire and health and safety.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Extensive knowledge of and experience in all fire and health and safety matters.
* Highly motivated and organised with the ability to deliver advice and support to staff.
* Experience in a senior health and safety role within a large organisation (experience in a healthcare setting is desirable).
Trusted to deliver high standards of patient and staff safety across the Trust.
