An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B2B Marketing Manager to join a leading business in the Agriculture, Machinery/Automotive and Engineering space.
Theyre well established and very profitable, whilst also being a family-run business so youll benefit from the stability of a well-run business and good budgets to play with, whilst also being part of a highly collaborative, close-knit team. Although they have hundreds of employees, its the sort of business where youll be cared for and properly looked after by the CEO and leadership team.
This role will likely be 4 days per week in one of the offices for the first 6 months or so, with one of those days needing to be based in the Gloucestershire area.
The other 3 days can be spend out of one of the other locations (mostly concentrated around the South West/Midlands area) based on what makes best sense given the Marketing Managers home location.
What youll be doing
This is a newly created Marketing Manager role as part of a restructure and re-invigoration of the marketing function, reporting to a Division Director and working closely with an experience Marketing Director. Youll manage a team of three and play a leading role in taking the marketing to the next level across a collection of brands and industry verticals.
The Marketing Manager role will be both strategic and a doing role, with agency support and the support of 3 Marketing Execs each with a different skillset. Were looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who can develop the rest of the team as well as developing first-class marketing campaigns and collateral.
There is a need to collaborate with stakeholders across the business outside of marketing too including Sales teams, third party suppliers/agencies, product teams, aftercare teams, manufacturers/OEMs so there will be travel as part of the role with most of the office based in the South West of the UK. A company car will be provided as part of the package.
What experience youll need to apply
Proven track record in B2B Marketing Manager role or similar.
Passion for, or preferably work experience, in the Agriculture, Farming, Land Management, Machinery, Automotive (perhaps for a dealership) sectors, or in another rural setting.
A good understanding of the seasonality of rural practices would be a distinct advantage in this role as marketing campaigns will be aligned to this.
Digital Marketing and offline/print-based marketing experience: Good campaign delivery skills across web content/CMS, SEO best practices, content creation including video, email marketing and paid advertising experience would be great but there is a bit of flexibility on this. Print and offline experience is highly desirable as there will be a lot of original marketing collateral from suppliers needing adaptation for reselling to other niche audiences.
Experience of seasonal campaigns in one of the relevant sectors outlined.
Line management experience or the skills and aptitude to lead and develop a team of 3 Marketing Executives. UK marketing experience is great, global marketing experience is even better.
A strategic thinker and ideas person, good campaign deliver, measurement and optimisation experience.
There will be travel to the various branches around the UK to get under the skin of the business and broad range of products/stakeholders, so a full Uk driving license is essential, as is a willingness to travel.
