A growing organisation within the (office supplies / FMCG / B2B sales) industry is seeking an experienced External Account Manager to join their dynamic team supporting the North East territory This role offers the chance to build a rewarding career and have a tangible impact on business performance. Key Responsibilities: * Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Proactively prospect new clients and convert customers from competitors. * Client Relationships: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Support activation, retention, and contract negotiations. * Sales Growth: Increase share of customer spending by positioning the company as their preferred supplier. * Marketing Engagement: Promote ongoing campaigns and initiatives to boost customer interaction. * Sales Strategy: Leverage available sales tools to identify and maximise opportunities. * Performance Targets: Consistently achieve and exceed sales, profit, and growth objectives. Requirements: * Previous experience in a similar sales or account management role is advantageous. * Experience in the office supplies or FMCG industry is required. * Strong commercial acumen with the ability to price accurately and maintain healthy profit margins. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). * Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. * Understanding of sales cycles and customer needs within a B2B environment. * Full clean UK driving licence & own vehicle is required.
