As the GIS engineer, you’ll mainly be supporting the GIS manager with coordinating and ensuring GIS deliverables meet client needs. You’ll also provide GIS support to the wider project team.
Qualifications & Experience
* ArcGIS desktop and FME software suites
* Data checking and quality control
* Excellent knowledge of geodatabases
* Managing deliveries through a document control system
* Working with subcontractors and the client to ensure proper data delivery
* Geometry and metadata checking
* Experience with archaeological, ecological and ground investigation works (bonus)
Responsibilities
* Quality checking and reporting on GIS deliverables
* Act as intermediary between subcontractors and client to guarantee delivery to the required standard
* Train and guide subcontractors to deliver data as required
* Support the wider team with GIS training, questions and improvement initiatives
* Assist the BIM lead with the BIM Execution Plan
* Collaborate with the GIS manager to create and manage data for Web‑GIS applications
* Adhere to the LM values and principles
* Participate in and promote the LM "Making the Right Choice" programme
* Ensure compliance with JV policies and procedures
* Engage in JV‑wide collaboration and learning sessions
* Support the broader team in achieving EWC North goals
