Job: Interim Management Accountant (Minimum 12 Month FTC) Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire Salary: 45k-55k Length of contract: 12 months An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Management Accountant to join a dynamic team in Hertford. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to play a key role in driving accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision making. Responsibilities Include Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheets and reconciliations Conducting variance analysis to budgets and forecasts Supporting and assisting with internal and external auditing Supporting the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors Responding to internal and external queries and requests Monitoring and reviewing purchase and sales ledger transactions; preparing VAT returns Mentoring junior members of staff, fostering a culture of learning and developing The Ideal Candidate Proven background in a similar role with hands-on experience in monthly reporting Strong Excel skills, particularly for data analysis Ability to produce monthly management accounts Experience working with auditors in preparation of year end and related queries Experience working with ERP systems (Sage 200) Detail-oriented approach with strong commitment to meeting deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate with stakeholders across all levels The client is offering hybrid work (FOUR days in office, one from home) and 45k-55k depending on experience.
