Night Shift Industrial cleaner Team leader

Role Purpose
To supervise the Hygiene Operatives within your area in the absence of the supervisor, to ensure the cleanliness of the factory is up to standard and to assist management.
Role Requirements
* Keep all areas of the factory clean and tidy meeting health and safety standards
* Waste disposal
* Sweep and wash floors
* Adhere to PPE policies and health and safety procedures and policies
* Pre‑wash down the area including floors, walls, belts and machinery when required by production
* Effective communication with Supervisor/Team Leaders
* Deep clean all machinery ready for production
* Clean belts, hand cleaning, framework, walls, floors, ceilings and lights
* Follow cleaning instruction cards according to the area
* Supervise the area and your team
* Lead by example and support chemical control COSHH and health and safety
* Supervisor holidays and absences
* Monitor and support staff during shift
* Liaise between Supervisor and staff
* Achieve good cleaning standards at all times
* Assist team with cleaning duties with reference to CIRC (Clean instruction cards)
* Monitor shift start/end time and tea breaks
* Monitor and replace cleaning equipment
* Ensure department documentation is completed daily
* Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out of specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials to a designated manager for immediate action
* Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, from 19:00 until 05:00.
Pay
You can earn up to £36,130 per year.
Requirements
* Full training will be provided
* Experience working within an Industrial Cleaning Environment preferred
* Preferred experience within an abattoir/Factory setting
* Able to work in both chilled and warm environments
* Ability to work 5 night shifts in a row if on nights
* Manual handling ability and awareness, must be fit and able
* Meticulous attention to detail essential
* Commitment to good practice
* Fluent English, communicate well in written and oral form with multi‑nationals on all levels
* Ability to multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines
* Relationship builder with influencing skills
* Strong team player
