If you're an experienced leader with a proven track record in residential childcare, this is your opportunity to shape lives and lead excellence. *Your Role - Job description* * Lead the overall management and performance of the residential home in line with the Statement of Purpose and Ofsted/CIW regulations * Provide effective leadership, support and supervision to the team * Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with legal frameworks * Ensure children’s care plans meet their emotional, educational, social, and therapeutic needs * Conduct audits, internal quality checks, and prepare for Regulation 44 and Ofsted/CIW inspections * Manage rotas, staffing levels, handovers, and resource planning * Contribute to budget management and operational decision-making * Promote positive outcomes through trauma-informed, inclusive, and therapeutic approaches *What we are looking for * *Essential:* * *2 years’ experience* in a supervisory or management role within residential childcare * *Level 3 Diploma* in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Strong understanding of *child development, trauma*, and therapeutic care approaches * In-depth knowledge of *safeguarding*, care standards, and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015/ Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016. * Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff teams * Confident use of *Microsoft Office* (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Full *UK Driving Licence* * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to plan, delegate, and manage a dynamic workload * Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure * Commitment to *ongoing professional development* * Willingness to complete *Level 5 Leadership & Management* qualification *Desirable:* * *Level 5* qualification in Leadership and Management * Experience with *therapeutic frameworks* or therapeutic qualifications * Demonstrated *financial acumen* and budgeting experience * Proven *positive regulatory inspection outcomes* *What we offer * * Level 5 Qualification Support (Residential Childcare pathway) * Pension auto-enrolment * Enhanced family friendly entitlement * Bonus Scheme * Pay Care Scheme – cashback on medical expenses * Employee Assistance Programme – 24/7 support * Perkbox – discounts at high street and online retailers * Annual Leave Service Award * Refer a Friend Scheme – earn rewards together * Free meals on shift and paid DBS Ready to apply?
