The Role
A vacancy has arisen for a VNA/Counterbalance FLT driver at our Production/Warehouse facility at Markham Vale North.
Reporting to a Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day operations within the warehouse facility as well as the safe and efficient loading/unloading of vehicles, whilst health and safety is adhered to at all times.
The role involves working a 12 hour continental shift pattern working 7am – 7pm and 7pm – 7am.
This challenging position demands a proactive “hands on” approach, complimented by accuracy, adherence to deadlines and laid down procedures
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
• Counterbalance / FLT - Essential
• VNA – Desirable
• Knowledge of warehouse Health and Safety requirements.
• Safe stacking and unstacking large quantities of pallets into racking
• Moving pallets from storage areas to loading areas for transport
• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the pallets to their designated storage areas
• Excellent time management with a flexible approach to work
• Skills : accuracy, attention to detail, reliability, computer literate
• Able to work to tight deadlines and targets - under own initiative and as part of a team
• Naturally self-motivated and have the ability to work under minimum supervision
• The willingness to carry out other tasks as and when required
